But having a two-state syste...Anything is possible. But having a two-state system with cohabitation of jerusalem seems unreal due to the fact of previous plans. The conflict will still probably exist on a grander scale seeing as jerusalem is the holy site. 7 years of "fake peace." Israel will always feel threatened regardless of peace plans or legal boarders for palestinian. Think USSR. They still felt threatened from Germany and other western powers, therefore Stalin annexed Easter European states. I feel Israel, if given the power would pursue similar goals they are completely surrounded by enimies. The PLO is playing Israel like a fiddle. Early in there history they supported occupying Israel by force it was not until much later, through different armed conflicts, that they realized the only way to obtain the end goal (a palestinian state) is to follow the status quo until you have the opportunity to challange the status quo. Most revision powers have followed this outline. Like stated earlier the USSR is a great example. After ww2, stalin saw the opportunity to change the system.
